Jai Shri Mataji!

The New Zealand collective invites us to join them in offering a national Puja to our Holy Mother in Her Holy form as Shri Kartikeya.

The timing is to coincide with NZ’s national celebration of Matariki (translated as ‘the eyes of God’), a time when a cluster of seven stars appear in the sky over New Zealand. This is a reference to Pleiades, the story maids, a name of Shri Kartikeya, Shri Krittikasunave.

The Māori (indigenous New Zealanders) celebrate the coming of the new year at this time.
