Please find below an important announcement from the LETA Trustees inviting applications for Yogis to become Trustee-Directors of Life Eternal Trust Australia.
The application process requires a covering letter, resume, details of two referees and some technical reading to understand and accept certain legal responsibilities associated with the role. These must be submitted by Friday 10th January 2025. As such, please act promptly if you have a desire to apply.
We hope many Yogis might consider applying and working with our current Trustees in this important role that supports the Collective and Sahaja Yoga in many aspects.
No new Councillor selection
There will be no new Councillor selection until further notice. At the appropriate time, an independent selection will take place using the published vibrational selection process to renew the Council which will be open and transparent and independent of any Councillor and Trustee involvement. No delegated authority will be given unless Council selections are run through the appropriate independent process.

Inviting new Trustee Directors to Life Eternal Trust Australia
(A message from the LETA Trustees)
The Life Eternal Trust Australia (LETA) Trustees have had a desire to expand membership of the Trust for some time and checking the vibrations Her Holiness Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi has indicated that invitations can be issued now. Therefore the LETA Trustees are inviting applications from Australian Sahaja Yogis to become Trustee-Directors of Life Eternal Trust Australia.
The Trustees are seeking additional Trustees by inviting Sahaja Yogis to offer themselves to serve Her Holiness Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi and the Australian Collective as a Trustee-Director through the published Sahaja Yoga vibrational selection process.
The Trust is hopeful of having representative Trustee-Directors from across Australia and warmly welcome Yogis to consider applying to work with our current Trustees in supporting the Collective and Sahaja Yoga in many important aspects.
Creation of Life Eternal Trust Australia (LETA) by HH Shri Mataji in 1986
HH Shri Mataji established LETA as the overall administrative body to support and promote Sahaja Yoga and its meditation which has been delivered as a community service throughout Australia since 1981. LETA was created to ensure we operate in compliance with Australian legislation and to oversee the legal and financial affairs of Sahaja Yoga Meditation on a national basis.
Information for applicants
There are federal and state government legal requirements associated with the Trustee-Director role. Advice is provided in the link below which has information outlining the requirements Yogis will need to fulfil to be considered for appointment as a Trustee-Director.
Trustee-Director responsibilities
Trustee-Directors are responsible for the creation, implementation and adherence of the numerous legally required policies such as the administrative and financial policies as listed on the LETA website at: https://www.syletanews.com/policies
The policies provide guidance on the dharma and maryadas for our collective, as taught to us by H.H. Shri Mataji.
Trustee-Directors must personally comply with the Corporations Act 2001, Charitable Status relevant rules and legislations, Australian Taxation Office compliance of Financial Management, ASIC obligations as a company director, State and Federal laws and regulations like Working With Children Check Clarence (WWCC or equivalent).
Mentoring and Support
If successfully selected, the new Trustee-Directors will be provided with ongoing mentoring and support.
Vibrational selection process.
The selection of new Trustee-Directors will be held in accordance with the published Vibrational Selection Process. Please see “Selection Process Guidelines” as outlined at: https://www.syletanews.com/selection-x-2-files
Candidates will be checked on vibrations at a coming collective Puja. Date and location will soon be advised
The process will be coordinated by a team of independent respected senior Yogis with no involvement by the Trustees, Councillors, past or present, or their family members.
