Speech of the Week
40th Anniversary of the Announcement of “Vishwa Nirmala Dharma”
Nasik India, 19th January 1985.
Dear Sahaja Yogis.
Jai Shri Mataji
With Mother’s Grace, the collective is progressing well in our spiritual ascent and we are all imbibing Her Holiness Shri Mataji’s Divine instructions and guidance.
In this week’s speech, HH Shri Mataji makes an important announcement for Sahaja Yoga and explains the importance of letting go of things that are not keeping with the Spirit.
On 19th January, we celebrate the 40th anniversary of when Shri Mataji first announced ‘Universal Nirmala Religion’ (Vishwa Nirmala Dharma) at Nasik India.
In this talk, Shri Mataji said Sahaja Yoga was a religion that integrates all religions, bringing all the principles of religions together.
“Now, let us start afresh with this new Universal Nirmala Religion. So you are all the members of the Universal Nirmala Religion, alright? All of you agree? “Vishwa Nirmala Dharma” say it like this.”

Elsewhere, Shri Mataji has said incarnations of world religions are activating our Kundalinis:
“Everyone in Sahaja Yoga knows so much about them, and the most important thing is that They are all with us, They are part and parcel of us and They are not separated by anything. They are working the same process in history, and now are working it out in the present with all of Them.”
– Sahaja Yoga by H.H.Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, 1998, ch.2, “Vishwa Nirmala Dharma”
Let’s remind ourselves throughout the coming week to focus the attention within and apply HH Shri Mataji’s words to ourselves. Regularly introspect to ensure that none of HH Shri Mataji’s words are being excused or rationalised unconsciously. Doing this will honour HH Shri Mataji and develop our individual and collective ascent
Jai Shri Mataji!
