Sahaja Yoga aligns with the National Cabinet Public Health warnings for Social Gathering
Due to COVID-19 and the risks to public health, the National Cabinet (Government) has issued a Public Health warning for social gatherings of more than two people this week.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison and the National Cabinet have announced that the States and Territories have reduced gatherings to no more than two people unless they are direct family or household members, as measures to limit social interactions.
Due to the risks to public health and to comply with Government requirements, the Sahaja Yoga Council and Trustees have agreed that as advised previously in our email dated 17th March and again now, all Sahaja Yoga Properties are closed to members of the public. This means that no Yogi can attend any Sahaja Yoga property until further notice.
There are Yogis who are residents of our properties and where the Ashram is their home, they may continue their residency.
Prime Minister Morrison has said the two-person gathering rule did not apply to household groups. Should there be a need for attendance at a property for any reason by Trustees, Councillors or an appointee – the strict two person rule and social distancing regulations will be followed.
The States and Territories have decided the two-person limit is enforceable and have introduced on the spot fines of $1,000 for breaching the two-person limit. If Yogis breach this notice by attending any Sahaja Yoga property, they are personally liable if the Police issue a fine. Sahaja Yoga Australia accepts no responsibility if Yogis breach this order.
Online Collective meditation
Our Australian Collective will meditate together once a week on Saturdays online. It is really important that we all, as one Collective attend this collective meditation.
