On this day we celebrate the Wedding Anniversary of HH Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi and Sir CP Srivastava Papaji. As the Children of HH Shri Mataji this is an occasion to celebrate and acknowledge their sacred union and the joy they brought to so many in the world.
Thank you so much HH Shri Mataji for showing us, through your auspicious and Divinely planned marriage to Sir CP Srivastava Papaji, the model of an ideal marriage. HH Shri Mataji we pray to You to please bless our Collective that we understand marriage in the proper way and live it in a Sahaja Yoga manner.

Shri Mataji Wedding Anniversary 1994
“So, thank you very much for the greetings on this day. It was a Easter Monday when I got married that day, and also My baptism took place on Easter Monday. But you know our Easter Monday always changes according to the Monday it comes. So it was quite a big venture for Me to marry. Actually, I did not need it at all. But as you know in India, they won’t spare any girl from marriage, and they have been after My life since I was about eighteen years of age. So somehow I managed. But I was in the medical college Lahore, and suddenly the disturbances broke out there, of a very serious nature. And I came back, and there was no possibility of My going back. Then the whole thing – planned, I think Divine planned it for My marriage, because I had to accept them. And as My husband was there, there were many proposals also, which they chose this one, and I was married. In a way arranged, because I had never talked to him about it, he had not talked to Me, but he had seen Me once before. So, for Me it was all right because everybody’s so much worried in My family about My marriage all the time. … ”
