Dear Family,
Jai Shri Mataji!
For this weekend’s program, we wish to worship our Holy Mother in Her Divine aspect of Shri Bhairava. Shri Mataji describes Shri Bhairava as the deity who resides in our left side and protects us… “He gives us light in darkness … He destroys all the bhoots within us. And all kinds of bhootish ideas and funny ideas about attachments and also the depressiveness.”
Shri Bhairava incarnated in many forms as:
- Shri Mārkaṇḍeya – 14,000 years ago in India. Composed the Devi Mahatmya.
- Shri Mahāvīra (599-527 BCE), An Indian king, prince of ascetics, upon whose teachings Jainism was founded.
- Shri Kabīr (c.1400-1470 CE) Indian poet-saint, who wrote about the Kundalini.
- William Blake (1757-1827 CE). English artist-poet. Also known as Saint Michael or Saint George.
The program will include a video about William Blake and His divine vision and prophecy of Shri Mataji and Sahaja Yoga.
Let’s gather as one collective at our Divine Mother’s Lotus Feet to pray to Shri Mataji for the Her protection of our left side. Yogis may wish to have flowers ready to offer during the program.

“He gives us light in darkness…”
“…one has to know that this is the work of Bhairavnath within us … He gives us light in darkness … He destroys all the bhoots within us. And all kinds of bhootish ideas and funny ideas about attachments and also the depressiveness. So, today we are, I am very happy that we are worshipping Shri Bhairava because He is very much connected with Ganesha. As you know Shri Ganesha is at the Mooladhara and while Bhairava moves onto the left side and goes to the right side. So, all kinds of conditionings, all kinds of habits, can be conquered through the help of Bhairavnath.”
