Keeping our Sahaj Family as One
Balmoral Easter Puja 2025 is definitely on
Dear Family,
Jai Shri Mataji!
You may be aware that the breakaway VNDA group is promoting and lobbying for an alternative Easter Puja at Bundilla instead of supporting the Easter Puja at our long-standing established venue at Her Holiness Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi’s National Balmoral Property.
Why Sahaja Yoga never returned to Bundilla
Sahaja Yoga has used Bundilla in the past. However, during the 1996 Shivaratri Puja, the Police were called a number of times during the entertainment night. The Police also interrupted the Puja due to complaints from neighbours. HH Shri Mataji was not pleased and said we are not to return to Bundilla. HH Shri Mataji instructed yogis from that time to go to the countryside one hour drive from Burwood to purchase a rural property that was peaceful and quiet where we could meditate and conduct Sahaja Yoga in our own place. A number of Yogis have corroborated HH Shri Mataji’s comments in relation to the 1996 incidents. The yogis from that time have recently reminded us that HH Shri Mataji has blessed us with Balmoral, and they questioned why we are going back to a place HH Shri Mataji was not pleased with, and to which She asked us not to return to when we should establish and enjoy our own country property.
The Bundilla Event Designed to Split and Divide Mother’s Collective
This separation of venues will divide the Collective and force Yogis to choose if they want to remain in the one Sahaja Yoga family attending Puja at Balmoral, or join those who have created a group separate from Sahaja Yoga Australia called VNDA. This is causing confusion and deeply disturbing the quiet enjoyment of the Australian and International Collective.
Addressing some concerns
The VNDA Group has spread misinformation about the Balmoral Easter seminar and the Trust’s motives in order to justify splitting the collective. We would like to address some of these points:
- All Sahaja Yogis are welcome to attend Balmoral and other properties managed by the Trust. None of the VNDA councillors have ever been advised that they are not welcome at, or should not attend, any of those properties;
- The Trust welcomes all brothers and sisters and hopes that they attend the Balmoral seminar, they should feel welcome and at home. The Balmoral seminar is the major Puja in Australia and it should be free of politics and with a focus on inner growth and collectivity. Given the recent frictions and negativity, it is more important than ever that the collective spends time together at Balmoral in HH Shri Mataji’s place.
- While there is a policy dealing with attendance on the Trust properties, such policies are common for religious organisations and in this case the policy was created in 2006 at the request of Her Holiness Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi’s family before Her visit and has been operational since then and is rarely exercised.
- The Trust is not dominating the collective. In fact, if you compare all of the correspondences from the Trust versus those of VNDA since VNDA was created in January 2025, you would see that the Trust messages have been polite, balanced and respectful of other Yogis which has not been the approach of VNDA who have given an escalating series of accusations and demands. The Trust is not intending to change its moderate approach.
- The Trust was working quite closely with VNDA personnel for the organisation of the Balmoral puja, and was not dominating the arrangements. There was no reason for VNDA to arbitrarily arrange a separate Easter seminar except that they want their “own” event.
- The Trust has not received any notification from any international Sahaja Yoga organisations that the Balmoral seminar will not be recognised as the international Easter seminar. We welcome the assistance of all Sahaja Yogis in Australia to work in collaboration to host an auspicious Easter puja seminar which will be full of vibrations and joy.
- We understand that VNDA has been making arrangements for a separate Easter puja for a considerable length of time. It appears to be a long-standing intent to split the collective.
Finally, the Trustee directors are disappointed that VNDA is splitting the collective for the Easter seminar as we hoped to work together to reach resolution on a governance structure that aligns with HH Shri Mataji’s vision. As notified in our email to the collective last week, rather than relying further on intellectual discussions, we believe that the best long-term solution and most auspicious path is to seek Divine guidance through the established Sahaja Yoga vibrational selection process to help determine the future governance structure for Sahaja Yoga in Australia.
The Trustee directors are preparing a set of questions about a proposed future governance structure and we still hope to present these questions to HH Shri Mataji at Easter seminar at Balmoral and utilise Vibrational Selection for the answers.
Deciding which Easter seminar to attend
When choosing between attending the established Sahaja Yoga Puja at Balmoral and the VNDA event at Bundilla, the Trustee directors respect that we are all our own Gurus and we are free to make our own decisions. As Yogis, we have the gift of meditation and vibrations to guide us in making important decisions.
We also believe that Yogis should ask the following questions:
- Is it auspicious to organise a parallel Puja in the one city to compete with our established Balmoral Easter Puja, and to lobby Yogis to attend a separate event? This is unprecedented in Australia and we would now expect that the VNDA group will try to organise separate pujas in Australia in the future as well if Yogis support the Bundilla event.
- Is it auspicious for Yogis to neglect the beautiful Balmoral property to attend another venue where we have all shared so much love and bathed in Her loving vibrations at Balmoral?
- The only outcome from organising a parallel Puja in the one city is to split and potentially permanently divide the Collective. Will that please our Holy Mother?
Everyone is free to make their choice but if Yogis want this to be the last competing Puja to our collective Balmoral pujas, then the clear course is to not attend Bundilla. By attending Bundilla, Yogis are signalling their support and encouraging VNDA to split the collective, and they will continue to do so.

Please share this message with other Yogis as it is important that everyone knows the Easter Puja has not been moved and is being held at Balmoral. You can share this news link.
We hope to see all our brother and sisters at HH Shri Mataji’s Balmoral property for Easter Puja and many more joy filled events into the future.
