Roster Groups and Calendar of Events
As mentioned last Saturday night at Burwood, the 2018 roster groups will begin the week before Sahasrara Puja.
The Roster Group list and Calendar of Events are now available on the Yogis website in the NSW Information section.
The Calendar has the NSW Puja dates plus the rostered groups for each Puja. It also lists the rostered group that will be hosting each Saturday Burwood program.
Sunday programs for new people
This year, we are trialling a regular new people’s program to be held every second month on a Sunday. More information will be sent closer to the date.
‘SAGE’ – new group emailing system for roster teams
To make it easier for the roster teams to communicate with each other, we’re introducing a new group email system called SAGE (Sahaja Australia Group Email).
Why do we need a new system?
Currently, if we want to contact people in our roster group, everyone’s email address needs to be manually loaded to an email template, and when responding, we need to ensure everyone’s email is included. Some people forget to do this, and as a result, group members are left off the email response chain and miss out on group discussions and planning for events.
Overview of SAGE
With the new SAGE system, your group will have an unique group email address to enable everyone in your group to be contacted at once. There’s a unique email address for each of the 9 roster groups. The email address will use “sagemail.com.au” with the name of each group, for example [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] etc. If you are in a roster group, you will be automatically added to the system. All the SAGE group email addresses are listed under in the NSW Information section.
How do I use SAGE?
The system is very easy to use… when you want to contact your roster group, you simply send an email to your group’s email address. Everyone in your group will automatically receive your email.
Anyone in your group who wants to respond to your email, simply hits “Reply” and in turn, everyone in the group is included in their response …that’s it!
With the new system, you no longer see individual email addresses when you receive a group email. Instead, you’ll just see the sender’s name and your group’s unique group email address. So, if you want to see who is in your group, just view or download the roster group list from the Yogis website.
When do we start using the new system?
A trial of the system will start with the Gerbera group who are hosting Saturday’s Burwood program on 28th April. More information will be sent to the group next week.
We’ll start using the SAGE system for Sahasrara Puja which will be held in Balmoral on Sat 5th May. Roster groups allocated for Sahasrara Puja will be contacted via the new system.
