Sahaja Yoga Statement of Solidarity in response to Bondi Beach shooting

Jai Shri Mataji!

The Sahaja Yoga worldwide community is devastated by the horrific and senseless shooting at Bondi Beach in Sydney on 14th Dec 2025, where Jewish families and communities gathered to celebrate the first night of Chanukah.

Sahaja Yoga joins with spiritual communities across Australia and throughout the world in expressing our deepest love, compassion, and unwavering support for our brothers and sisters in the Jewish community. Australia is sustained by a deep spirit of collectivity, compassion, and care for one another. This is the living truth HH Shri Mataji showed us: that goodness, when nourished collectively, always triumphs.

We extend our heartfelt compassion to all who have been impacted by acts of terror and violence. We pray for the innocent lives that have been taken and stand firmly with all people of conscience in condemning terrorism, hatred, and the destruction of human dignity. Such acts are entirely contrary to dharma and to the divine principles taught by HH Shri Mataji upon which human society is meant to rest.

HH Shri Mataji taught us that all human beings are part and parcel of one primordial being, and that when the spirit is awakened, we recognise our innate unity. Violence, religious hatred, division, and antisemitism arise from ignorance of the spirit and have no place in a society that aspires to spiritual truth, balance, and collective wellbeing. The power of the spirit and HH Shri Mataji’s work for the good of mankind are far greater than the force that seeks to divide and destroy.

At this critical time, HH Shri Mataji’s teachings remind us, as Sahaja Yogis, of our responsibility to strengthen our own collectivity and inner peace. We are called to rise above anger, fear, and division, and to remain firmly established in love, compassion, collectivity, and forgiveness. By nurturing unity within our own Sahaja community, we contribute to the healing of society as a whole. Let us, at this time, put aside all anger and division, groupism and stand together to resist every attempt to spread hatred, mistrust, and separation within our collective.

With love,

“We’ve been worshippers of God…”

“We’ve all probably been a Christian, we’ve all been a Jew, we’ve all been a Muslim. We’ve been worshippers of God the Father and God the Mother at many many times in history. And so, now the time has come when we can get that final step in our evolution, which is just to be triggered by an enlightened being and which, once you get it, you can develop to that point where you become totally one with God.”
