Shri Ganesha Jayanti Birthday

Wednesday 25th January 2023

Dear Family,

Jai Shri Mataji!

Today is Shri Ganesha Jayanti (‘Shri Ganesha’s Birthday”), which occurs every year on the 4th Moon day after No Moon in the month of Maagh (January/February). Shri Mataji has held numerous Shri Ganesha Pujas on this auspicious day.

In Australia, Shri Mataji held a Public Program in Fremantle, Western Australia on Shri Ganesha Jayanti in 1992 and then held Shri Ganesha Puja at Her Gidgegannup Ashram the following day.

Let us pray to Shri Ganesha for His Blessings, for divine wisdom, innocence and divine dynamism. Let us humbly request Shri Ganesha to allow us to know his special qualities.

HH Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, Shri Ganesha Puja, Gidgegannup Ashram, 1992 Perth, Australia.

We should all wish for divine wisdom to spread throughout the World Collective, for morality and the traditional family structure to be established within Australia and the world.

Shri Ganesha Puja 1992

“So you are like ganas, you are specially blessed people to be born in this special country. And after all these achievements that you have made, if you are going to take these absolutely nonsensical things of the countries which are overdeveloped, have lost their balance, then what’s the use of being born in this Ganesha’s land?
In this Ganesha’s land you have to have a complete balance within yourself. That’s what I expect from the Sahaja yogis of Australia, that they have to give to the whole world the sense of balance of Shri Ganesha. So now we have to first decide that we should bear no grudge to anyone. How can you bear grudge to anyone? We have to be forgiving, all the time forgiving. Something somebody has said it – all right, doesn’t matter. As it is, English language you know is not very soft language, it’s not a very soft language, and in that if you say something, one should not mind.

Now, also He will not grow trees one on top of another, but in such a way that they all get the sun’s rays. Just like a great mother I must say, the way gently He does everything. Every leaf is made differently – what an artist! – every leaf. In the whole world you cannot find exactly the same leaf, whether it is from Australia or from America. The leaf, if you see it under a microscope, will differ. Every leaf, can you imagine? Look at His work: how gently He puts everything, how gently He works. And while we are living on the grounds of Shri Ganesha, how gentle we should be. And in dealing with people we should be extremely, extremely gentle to show that we are Ganesha’s special ganas. That’s what I feel about Australians.

So today, to begin with, we have this Ganesha Puja, where we all should in our heart think what is our gravity point, and that we have to stand very firm.”

Lullaby for Shri Ganesh (लोरी / गणपतीचा पाळणा – अंगाई गीत )

Sleep little child
Oh elephant headed son of Parvati

The entire mother earth is blessed by your arrival.
All the Sahajayogis, animals and birds are anxious to feel the vibrations that flow from you.

Your sweet, adorable form is so pleasing and joy-giving to all.
By simply looking at you everyone is so full of joy that they have started dancing and singing.

All the yogis have gathered so that they can see you and welcome you,
and Jagadamba Nirmala Mataji is rocking your cradle.

Sleep little child.
