Jai Shri Mataji!

Exciting news!

Dear Yogis,

By Shri Mataji’s grace, the South Australian Collective has found and purchased an ideal and unique property in an area close to the town of Murray Bridge, 77km from Adelaide. It is a 2,500sqm plot of land within a new subdivision located at Lot 11 Swanport Height, Murray Bridge.

New Ashram in Adelaide

The area has residential zoning so we will need to build a simple domestic dwelling which will become the permanent home for H.H. Shri Mataji and our collective Ashram in Adelaide.

Once the Ashram is completed, we will invite yogis from around Australia to come to visit, and possibly live. The new Ashram will have a large living area for Pujas and collective events which will cater for the needs of a growing South Australian Collective.

Ashrams are an important aspect of Sahaja Yoga, because as Shri Mataji has explained, these collective homes help to establish the Shri Ganesha Tattwa, the principle of innocence, in a city.

Strengthening the collective

The collective recently participated in presenting a “Let’s Meditate 21 Days” online public program which brought together and further strengthened our collective, as a result of doing Shri Mataji’s work of giving Self-realisation, locally and globally. You can see the SA team in action here: https://www.freemeditation.com.au/jan2023

The collective continues to be involved online with broadcasting of evening footsoak and morning meditation programs on this YouTube channel: https://youtube.com/@ritaskipper6431

Purchase details

Previously, we had searched and nearly purchased many properties with which we would have had the burden of a large mortgage. However, this is now not an option as banks will no longer lend to an NGO for this purpose. Therefore, our only option was purchasing land with the money from our collective funds and building afterwards. No land closer to Adelaide was affordable.

The land costs was $195,000 which leaves a remaining surplus of approximately $100,000 in our collective funds.

Having consulted with yogis and builders and yogi/builders, it will be necessary to set a budget for construction for the new ashram at $300,000. As we already have $100,000, the target would be to raise a further $200,000 so we can commence building the Ashram as soon as possible after settlement.

As with all our collective Sahaja Yoga properties around Australia, the SA property will also be owned by Life Eternal Life Properties Australia Pty Ltd as trustee for Life Eternal Trust Australia. This legal entity is managed by a board of Trustee-Directors.

Support from the Trustees, National Coordinators & Councillors

The SA Collective would like to thank the Australian Trustees and the current and past National Coordinators/Councillors for all the support and encouragement they have given us over the years in searching for a collective property and the Trustees for acting on our behalf in securing the new property.

Donations and pledges

We greatly and sincerely thank all the yogis around Australia who have donated and made this first step possible. Many more yogis had also pledged donations. If you are able to still fulfil your pledge, it would be greatly appreciated. Other yogis who would like to donate to help make this vision of Shri Mataji’s become a reality can still provide much needed financial support. Details for fulfilling pledges and donations are below. Please note: the bank account below belongs to the SA collective.

Collective community near the new Ashram

By Shri Mataji’s grace, a few Yogi families have already placed deposits on adjoining blocks of land – so informally in South Australia we are starting a small Sahaja Yoga collective community which vibrationally is a great step forward for Sahaja Yoga Australia. There may still be a few plots of land left for purchase. If there are other Sahaja Yogis in or near retirement and others seeking a new collective spiritual tree change life experience with other Sahaja Yogi families, this collective opportunity is unlikely to be repeated. If you are interested, $5,000 would be due after the cooling-off period and the remaining $190,000 in September 2023. Please contact the Raine & Horne Real Estate directly if you are interested on 08 8532 3833 and ask to speak to Casey De Michelle.

Background to our searches

The Yogis of SA have been continuously searching intensely for 10 years for a property to purchase as a permanent home for H.H. Shri Mataji and our collective. Yogis in other states have worked hard to build Ashrams at Wamuran, Qld; Balmoral, NSW; Hiawatha, Vic; Gidgegannup, WA. We are the one of the remaining few States in Australia yet to establish their own permanent Collective centre. We now have the land upon which to do this. With all your support and attention, and by the grace of H.H. Shri Mataji, we will achieve this long held dream. Together we pray to make this dream come true.

Thank you Prayer to Shri Mataji

Most Holy Mother, Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, we Your children of South Australia, thank You from the bottom of our hearts for blessing us with this new property. We seek Your blessings and guidance in finally establishing an Ashram in Adelaide for the spiritual ascent of all the Sahaja yogis and seekers who will come to visit and stay in Your Adelaide home.

Jai Shri Mataji!

With all our love,
The South Australian Collective

“Mother come in my brain.” prayer

Shri Mataji in Adelaide giving us the “Mother come in my brain.” prayer.

HH Shri Mataji talks about the significance of the “Adelaide” name

“Actually Adi-la. La is Lalita. La is Lalita and Adi the Primordial Lalita, and lalita is left sided. So it is to be taken from Adi-lada. Adi-lada. It comes from four words, Adi. Adi, la, da. Alright. So Adi-la. La means lalita and da means the one giver. So the giver of the Adi-lalita is Adi-laid. Alright it has a big name if you try to really see through it. I don’t know how they gave this name to this place. Why maybe the unconscious has done it.”
HH Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, Puja, 4 March 1983, Adelaide
