Coming to the end of 2019, we take this moment to also acknowledge and thank the local Balmoral Village Rural Fire service, as well as all the Rural Fire Services around Australia for all that they are doing as volunteers in service to all their local communities.
The Balmoral Rural Fire Service also rendered much needed assistance during the fire emergency to help put out the fires on our property for which we thank them. They are all working on the front line in dealing with this fire emergency. All of whom are giving up their personal time with their friends and family to help protect their communities. This is the true Australian spirit at its best.
A Yogi who also volunteers as a Fire Fighter has seen destruction wrought by fires in the past and found the situation in and around our property to be one of a scale he had not seen before. There are around 200 homes in and around Balmoral town. 28 properties from the Village at this stage have been lost to the Fires. Truly a miracle that none of our buildings at Balmoral had any damage done to them. There is damage to the utilities, to the supporting services and to some of the supporting infrastructure. All the fences have been destroyed. Many trees have been affected by the fire will need to be brought down and removed as they present a hazard. Much work will be needed to bring Balmoral back to where it was before the fires.
Our Yogi Caretakers, and the Town itself, are going through a lot as they come to terms with this crisis. They will all need as much vibrational support as we can give, over the coming months of recovery. In this spirit, a group of Sahaja Yogis travelled down yesterday to the Balmoral Rural Fire Station and hosted a community lunch. The Yogis spent some time collectively along with the townsfolk to get to know each other.
The local community appreciated the gesture as did the Yogis who travelled down for the day. A great day of collectivity for one and all which helped to bring us all closer together.
Let us continue to keep in our prayers the need for sustained rain around Australia to help put out all the fires and to help soothe our parched land.
