Update – Cadell Valley School, SA

As work progresses on our Sahaja school, we are delighted to share the latest updates on the Cadell Valley Sahaja School (CVSS) project with you. We appreciate that this process takes time but want to assure you that work continues. Each step, however small or big, brings us closer to realising our vision of a sacred space dedicated to nurturing the spiritual and holistic development of future generations.
Progress on School Registration
We recently held a productive meeting with the Education Standards Board (ESB) to initiate the process of securing school registration. During the meeting we were given the opportunity to share our vision and philosophy of the school, information on other Sahaja Schools around the world, and our own personal observations of the students these schools produce. This marks a vital step in establishing CVSS as an accredited institution, and we are heartened by the positive support and guidance received from the ESB.
Development Application and Site Preparations
Significant progress has also been made on the Development Application (DA), as we continue to lay the groundwork for future construction and enhancements:
- Foundational and Environmental Surveys: Ground samples and geotechnical engineering explorations have been completed, setting a strong foundation for the dormitory and other planned facilities.
- Infrastructure Improvements: We’ve upgraded the electrical systems for classrooms and the administration building, alongside new air conditioning installations to enhance comfort for students and staff.
- Environmental Planning: A waste water management plan has been designed, and a vegetation survey report has been completed to ensure sustainable site practices in harmony with the surrounding natural landscape.
- Final Preparations: We are currently awaiting the final dormitory drawings to proceed with the next phase of the DA submission.
These developments are moving us closer to the day when we can welcome students to Cadell Valley. We’re grateful for the expertise and dedication of the team coordinating these essential steps.
DGR Status
Work continues on the establishment of a School Building Fund which will then apply for Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status. We have engaged an expert charities lawyer to ensure that the governance of Nirmala Sarva Education Ltd is fully compliant and optimised for this purpose. The lawyers have drafted the School Building Fund documentation, which we are now in the process of reviewing before formally establishing the School Building Fund.

International Support
We are deeply humbled by the support we have received from our international Sahaja Yoga family. Most recently, the Chinese collective reached out with a heartfelt desire to donate 70,000 RMB (approximately $15,000) toward our project. This expression of generosity reinforces the global commitment to this auspicious project and the great responsibility our Australian Sangha has to see through this noble project.
Donations and Pledges
As we progress, we continue to welcome any regular donations from Yogis who wish to support the ongoing holding costs of the property and the DA-related expenses. We currently have seven families who are kindly making regular donations to the school project on either a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. Total funds raised last financial year, including for the initial property purchase, came to $354,869. Your contributions will help us see through the project and more immediately aid us in covering essential preparation costs and maintaining the site as we work toward final approvals.
