Dear Family,
Jai Shri Mataji!
Many yogis are using the online Meetup service to help promote their local programs and are reporting the service is attracting many seekers to their programs. As a result, we wish to offer a coordinated approach to setting up and maintaining the Meetup service for all the NSW programs.
(If you are not familiar with Meetup, see below)
Arranging Meetup groups by geographical region
In order to streamline the way we advertise our programs on Meetup, it has been suggested that we rearrange the Meetup groups by geographical region, rather than having a separate group for each program. This will allow a maximum number of programs to be advertised at minimum cost.
Want your program promoted on Meetup?
To this end, if you have an existing Meetup group which is no longer being maintained, or which you no longer wish to maintain, please contact Leela Frankcombe. Similarly, if you wish to have your local programs advertised on Meetup, please email [email protected]
Meetup costs
As this is a collective promotions initiative, the costs of the new Meetup arrangements will be covered by NSW collective funds.
“Keep the lights on. The another thing you can do is, with your light you can enlighten other people. Like we have done here, we had enlightened one candle, with that we have enlightened all of them. So you all can do it, because you have got that light within you. With that light you can enlighten others, and they can feel their joy of their Spirit.” H.H. Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi
What is Meetup?
Meetup is an online social networking service where people from all over the world can share their common interest with others and meet offline through Meetup. We promote our meditation classes to members of Meetup so when a member searches for meditation in their location, our program will appear in their search results. Here’s some of our listings on Meetup.
We also direct the public to our Meetup pages via the class listings on our national website. The programs that are using Meetup are listed here.
Love,
NSW Councillors
