Vaccines – Sahaja science enlightened

Dear Family,

Jai Shri Mataji!

We wish to share a message from Dr Auriol Purdie about viruses and vaccines.

Dr Auriol is a long standing Sahaja yogini who holds a BSc (Molecular Genetics) from Kings College (London, UK), a MSc and DipLSHTM Immunology of Infection Disease from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (London, UK) and a Doctorate of Medicine and Therapeutics.

We thank Dr Auriol for providing her observations on viruses and vaccines and how they relate to Sahaja Yoga which includes discussions she had directly with Shri Mataji, many years ago.

With Love

Auriol Purdie’s message

I am a scientist and do have a PhD. I’m an immunologist who looks at disease pathogenesis with a view to developing therapeutics (vaccines). I hold a global patent for one vaccine, and we are in the process of developing another vaccine at the moment. I have been part of Sahaj since 1979 and grew up close to Shri Mataji. She was the one who told me to study what I did and She granted me many opportunities to speak with Her in private re my studies/work. I have repeatedly recounted Her comments stating that modern medicine is a gift of God and those who choose to reject it are foolish. Yes, She did say that pharma companies are out for the financial gain since they are businesses, however She said that should not stop people utilising vaccines and medicines.

On to vaccines – technology is advanced. So long as the genetic sequence of a pathogen (virus or bacteria) are known, with a bit of knowledge it is very easy to come up with potential vaccine candidates aka epitopes using reverse vaccinology.

Earlier this year, I utilised in silico techniques to develop over 30 possible epitope sequences (small lengths of a protein that, in the case of a virus, code for a unique region that would trigger an immune reaction in a host ie would trigger the development of antibodies and a secondary immune response to prepare the host for exposure to the real virus).

Nowadays predicting epitopes is easy (with a bit of background knowledge), but the thing that takes time is making sure it works. You have to go through a whole load of lab work first on cell culture experiments. For example, you have to manufacture the epitopes by piecing together the protein sequences, you need to figure out if there is need for a carrier/adjuvant and then you need to see if they are taken up by cells so you carry out cell culture work using either whole blood or separated immune cells (or both). You need to check the response – are the epitopes phagocytosed and if so are they presented on MHC to T or B cells and does this trigger cellular proliferation. This can take a lot of time if you are a small lab but a huge pharma company can do this quickly. This is where most research falls down since there is no guarantee of the capacity of an epitope to produce an immune response. Background knowledge can help and access to huge, dedicated labs and endless funds also help. If by a miracle, one of the epitopes is capable of triggering the correct response then comes the next step – trying in the living host. Again, this is where things can fall down since the immune system is a myriad of interconnected processes and no human mind (or computer) can account for all interactions, however this is why clinical trials are conducted.

No vaccine candidate would ever be tried in a living organisms (human or animal) if it triggered eg a cytokine storm in the lab cell culture. In the case of the new coronavirus vaccines, many more people were in the clinical trials that ever before with any vaccine candidate. Usually there are at least three trials and the numbers of people being tested is generally defined. In the case of these new vaccines- they have multiplied up the number of people tested and they are analysing the responses to a much greater degree.

To reject a vaccine just because it has taken a shorter time to develop than other vaccines is simply foolish.

I asked Shri Mataji once why She would not get rid of them (viruses)?
In terms of Sahaj techniques being the only way. That is a naive assumption also. Viruses can be seen as a physical manifestation of negativity – I asked Shri Mataji once why She would not get rid of them and Her response was that we would physically collapse. As I studied, I came to realise that over our co- evolution humans and viruses have intermingled to the extent that our DNA contains viral sequences. I asked Shri Mataji if this could be reversed and She replied that it could through meditation for example connection with the Paramatma. Each time you are in a space of thoughtless awareness you are slowly changing the very building blocks of your existence. This is something that modern medicine cannot replicate but is it a very different matter than seeking to immunise yourself from a virus.

My suggestion would be, unless you can guarantee that you are perfectly clear of negativity at all times and you are equally, constantly in a state of thoughtless awareness, get the vaccine and stop listening to conspiracy theories.
