Commemorating Sir C.P.’s birthday

On 8 July, we lovingly commemorate the birthday of Sir Chandrika Prasad Srivastava (Sir C.P.).

To the world, Sir C.P. was one of India’s most distinguished civil servants, an accomplished diplomat and Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), where he earned worldwide respect for his wisdom, integrity and leadership. Yet to us, he is remembered above all as the devoted husband of HH Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, a loving father, and a steadfast companion in Her divine mission to establish Sahaja Yoga throughout the world.

Throughout his life, Sir C.P. quietly supported HH Shri Mataji with complete dedication while carrying immense national and international responsibilities. He frequently acknowledged that whatever he achieved was possible only through HH Shri Mataji’s guidance, strength and inspiration. His humility, complete faith and selfless service remain a beautiful example for all Sahaja Yogis.

As we remember Sir C.P. today, may we reflect on his remarkable qualities of dignity, devotion and surrender, and strive to imbibe the same spirit of selfless service to HH Shri Mataji and Her work.
