Message from the Life Eternal Trust Australia (LETA) Trustees –
Regarding the Bondi Beach tragedy
On behalf of Sahaja Yoga Australia.

Our community was shaken

On Sunday 14th December 2025, our community was shaken by a shocking and deeply distressing antisemitic attack, when two offenders opened fire at a Jewish community gathering at Bondi Beach in Sydney. This tragic act has touched the hearts of all who value peace, dignity, and the sanctity of human life.

At this time, the Trust offers its deepest condolences to the Jewish community. Our first thoughts are with the victims and their families. We bow to them with humility, holding them in our hearts, and we offer bandhans and sincere prayers for their healing, protection, and strength. May HH Shri Mataji’s compassion envelop them and bring comfort where words cannot.

Preciousness of the collective bond

Moments such as these remind us of the fragility of human life and the preciousness of the collective bond we share. We turn to HH Shri Mataji with gratitude for Her unending love, grace, and protection, and we seek refuge found only at Her Feet. In Her nirakara presence, we are reminded that the Spirit within each person is eternal, pure, and beyond all divisions.

Live HH Shri Mataji’s legacy

Acts of violence and hatred challenge society to look within. While outrage may arise naturally, HH Shri Mataji taught us that transformation comes through awareness, balance, and compassion. We pray that this tragedy awakens deeper collectivity, strengthens dharma, and leads humanity towards the path of peace. May it reinforce our responsibility to preserve and live HH Shri Mataji’s legacy of Sahaja Yoga a gift She gave freely to the world so that all may know their Spirit and experience the Divine within.

Challenges faced by the collective

As we reflect on the year and the challenges faced by the collective, we clearly reject all forces, actions, and ideologies that seek to divide HH Shri Mataji’s collective or weaken the bonds of love and respect that lead to anger. We recommit ourselves to collective harmony, humility, and obedience to Her guidance.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to the police, paramedics, doctors, nurses, and emergency service personnel who responded with courage, selflessness, and dedication. Through their actions, we witness the innate goodness of the Spirit at work. We pray that HH Shri Mataji blesses and protects them as they continue to support the victims, families, and communities affected by this tragedy.

Stand together

This is a time for all Sahaja Yogis to stand together as one collective body, grounded in the Spirit. In all that we do, may we continue to look after one another with love, understanding, and compassion, keeping HH Shri Mataji at the centre of our lives.

One of the heroes of this tragedy,

Recently, Mr Ahmed Al-Ahmed, one of the heroes of this tragedy, was presented with a significant contribution raised through a community crowdfunding effort. When presented with the cheque, he asked humbly, “Do I deserve it?” – a reflection of the simplicity and selflessness that arise when the Spirit acts.

When invited to share a message with those affected and with the people he helped to save, he said:

“To stand with each other – all human beings. Forget everything bad that is behind us, and keep going to save lives. What I did, I did from my heart. It was a beautiful day. Everyone was enjoying themselves – children, women, men, teenagers. They were happy, and they deserve that. It is their right. This country is the best country in the world, but we are not going to stand by and keep watching. Enough is enough – we must act.

God protect Australia. God continue to bless Australia.

Firmly established in the Spirit

May HH Shri Mataji guide us, protect us, and keep us firmly established in the Spirit, so that love, collectivity, and dharma prevail.
