This month, we celebrate the auspicious 10-day period of Navaratri with Divine Pujas, havans and music dedicated to the Supreme Goddess, who manifests within Her Holiness Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi.
All yogis are invited to participate in the In-person and Online events below and receive the blessings of the Adi Shakti.
Salutations to the Supreme Goddess
Salutations to that Supreme Goddess who is the All-pervading Formless Consciousness and the Mother of this whole Creation; who incarnated on this Earth as Her Supreme Holiness Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi; to Her we prostrate with complete reverence and surrender. May our humble offerings be pleasing in Her Sight.

DAY OF SILENCE
Worship of Shri Shailaputri – Beginning, Purity & Shri Ganesha.
The foundation of the ascent. This is a day of silence and worship of Shri Ganesha. It represents the establishment of innocence, auspiciousness and the pure desire to ascend.

DAY 2 – DVITĪYA
Worship of Shri Brahmacharini – Purity, Dedication & Spiritual Discipline.
The Devi is worshipped as the pure seeker devoted completely to the Divine. On this day, we recognise the Goddess as the power residing within all beings – as consciousness, intelligence, peace, compassion, Motherhood and Shakti.

DAY 3 TRITĪYĀ
Worship of Shri Chandraghanta – Divine Protection & Surrender.
On this day, we acknowledge the Mother’s many powers of protecting Her children and surrender ourselves to our Divine Mother. The Kavach of the Devi is read – the Kavach being the armour and protection of the Goddess.

DAY 4 CHATURTHĪ
Worship of Shri Khushmanda – Protection, Balance & Dharma.
The Kavach is continued. Shri Mataji explained that, for realised souls, taking a bandhan performs the protective function of the Kavach. On this day, we also recognise all religions in their true and pure form.

Worship of Shri Skandamata – Spiritual Ascent & Victory over Negativity.
The destiny of Sahaja Yogis is to achieve spiritual success – our ascent. The Devi destroys the negative forces that obstruct our ascent.

Worship of Shri Katyayani – Crossing the Agnya – Overcoming Ego & Conditioning.
Shri Mataji explained the importance of this stage. The sixth stage can present a great obstacle and must be crossed before reaching the higher stages of our ascent.

Worship of Shri Kalaratri – The Divine Mother & Sahasrara.
Shri Mataji explained: “Seventh day is the day, where I am there.” Having crossed the sixth stage, the seeker enters the higher stages of spiritual ascent. The Devi Atharva Sheersham proclaims the Devi as the all-pervading Divine Power and the source of creation.

Worship of Shri Mahagauri
Purification & the Adi Kundalini. In the Sahaja Yoga Navaratri tradition, Shri Mahagauri is identified with the Adi Kundalini – the primordial power of the Divine Mother, reflected within us as our Kundalini.

DAY 9 NAVAMĪ
Worship of Shri Siddhidatri – Culmination & Fulfilment of the Ascent.
Shri Mataji called Navami the “culminating point”: the nine stages are to be crossed, and the destiny of the seeker is complete spiritual ascent. Shri Siddhidatri is the Devi who bestows siddhis, or spiritual powers; however, in Sahaja Yoga the emphasis is on our spiritual ascent rather than seeking powers.

DAY 10 DASARĀ
Dussera – Victory day & Worship of Shri Adi Shakti
Victory of the Divine. After the nine nights comes Vijayadashami – the completion of Navaratri and the victory of the Goddess over the forces opposing Dharma. The worship of the nine forms of the Devi culminates in Shri Adi Shakti – Her Holiness Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi.
