“These Music of Joy tours are truly very special – words cannot describe them!”

Please enjoy these stories, photos and videos from the amazing tour – Jai Shri Mataji!

We would like to share story highlights from our recent experience as over 40 yogis presented Sahaja Yoga and music programs to seekers in the Snowy Mountains region of NSW covering Cooma, Berridale, Jindabyne, and Bowral. As we have no Sahaja Yoga centres in the region, a 4 Day online follow-up program was offered to seekers.

Dear Shri Mataji,

Day 1 – Wed 17th Sept 2025

We departed early Wednesday morning after a collective meditation in Burwood Ashram.

We travelled together by bus with our amazing driver, Satish, who generously drove us free of charge and stayed with us the entire time — even meditating with us. We also used Shri Mataji’s van for the tour.

The drive was approximately eight hours, and we arrived at our collective house in Berridale around 4:00 pm. The lodge accommodated 30 people in total. It was a lovely place that served us well, and from the window we could see the snow-covered mountain peaks of Thredbo.

Day 2 – Thu 18th Sept 2025

We boarded our bus and van at 7:30 am and made our way to Jindabyne High School.

We met our trusted sound engineer, Laurent, around 8:00 am — he proved to be an excellent instrument for Shri Mataji in providing perfect sound.

Our concert lasted about an hour and was very well received by the staff and students.

Madhuri led a beautiful meditation and quiet time for each of the schools. Everyone felt that something special had happened within them. There was an average of around 240 students and about 10 teachers at each school.

By mid-afternoon, we travelled to Cooma for our second concert. We packed everything up and met Laurent again at Cooma North Public School for a 1:30 pm start. Once again, we were warmly received by students and staff. The students enjoyed our performance and meditation time, and interacted freely with us.

The principal of this school was especially lovely and very welcoming — she even allowed us to use the staff facilities for rest, coffee, and tea. She also put a notice in the school newsletter that day to promote our public program on Saturday.

Later that afternoon, at the same school, we held a third concert for the community. We had the privilege of watching a drum and ukulele group perform — they were very entertaining, and we all thoroughly enjoyed their performance. Our own performance was well received, and the community expressed deep appreciation for the music and meditation.

Paul, our contact from the Cooma Community, sent me a lovely message thanking us for coming. He said we had brought something beautiful to the region and mentioned that he’d heard wonderful things from other schools about our concerts.

Upon leaving Cooma North Public, the principal approached me and asked if we could come back as soon as possible. She said she felt she had met her kindred spirits.

We packed up, said goodbye to our trusty sound guy, and headed back to the lodge for a relaxing foot soak and onion treatment.

Day 3 – Fri 19th Sept 2025

We boarded the bus again for our fourth concert at 7:30 am and headed to Cooma Public School for a 9:30 am concert. We were greeted by the principal, who had some concerns about our visit, so we agreed not to display Mother’s photo or take photos of the children.

John spontaneously began playing a beautiful tune on the harmonium, and as we all went into meditation, the children quietly entered the hall. They were so calm and well-behaved — we knew their Kundalinis were already awakened. About 240 children sat down and began clapping spontaneously with the music.

When the music stopped, the hall went completely silent. The teacher began her introduction by praising the children for their calmness and cooperation — she said it was the first time she had seen them so peaceful upon entering the hall.

We performed for an hour, and again Madhuri led the quiet time and meditation, with everyone participating freely. During our performance, some teachers took photos, and both students and staff danced together — it was truly amazing and beautiful.

As we travelled to Jindabyne for our second concert of the day, I checked my emails and found one from the Cooma Public principal. She was absolutely delighted with our visit and said the teachers and students loved the music and meditation. She even released the photos taken by the teachers and gave us permission to use them. It was clear that our visit had been quite special.

Our second concert that day was at Jindabyne Primary School, starting at 2:00 pm. The weather was turning cold and windy, but we carried on. Once again, there were 240+ students and staff. This particular school had gone to great effort to learn one of our songs, “Innany,” and they performed it with us. They cooperated beautifully, enjoyed the quiet time, and even the staff joined in dancing — it was such an amazing and fun-filled experience!

Afterward, we headed back to Berridale for a rest and to prepare for Sahasrara Puja, welcoming another 10 yogis who joined us for the remainder of the tour. Now we were 40+ yogis — just too much fun!

We had an amazing Puja that evening.

Day 4 Sat 20th Sept 2025

Saturday morning was leisurely for some of us, as we didn’t need to be at the auditorium until midday.

We boarded the bus at 11:00 am to arrive by 12:00 pm for a 2:00 pm start. Laurent, our sound engineer, was already there to greet us — and he spoiled us by putting on some Bollywood music. We all danced and loosened up together!

The auditorium was beautiful and ready for great sound and vibrations. After enjoying Laurent’s welcome, a few yogis went leafleting while the rest organised the hall.

Our first concert at 2:00 pm welcomed 20 seekers, and the second at 6:00 pm welcomed five seekers. Bijay gave a lovely introduction to Sahaja Yoga, and Shri Mataji granted Realisation. This was followed by a beautiful instrumental by Nic on saxophone and Kannan on didgeridoo — very special and meditative.

The Yuva girls performed a beautiful sweet dance which added another flavour to the program . They looked absolutely stunning.

A few yogis from Canberra also joined us, which was a nice surprise. The seekers were of high quality and stayed afterward for coffee and cake. We also organised follow-up online programs, which were very successful.

It was a great day and night. We boarded our buses again and returned to Berridale. As it was our last night, we had to pack and clean, ready to leave at 5:00 am the next morning.

Day 5 Sun 20th Sept 2025

We boarded the bus around 5:45 am (not quite 5:00 am!) to travel to Bowral.

The GPS said it would take six hours from Berridale to Bowral, and we had a 12:00 pm performance at the Tulip Festival. We arrived in plenty of time, stopping once along the way. I still don’t know how we made it so smoothly — Jai Shri Mataji and Jai Shri Ganesha!

On the way, Shri Ganesha appeared in the sky, removing all the obstacles. We arrived at Bowral around 11:30 am. The town was full of beautiful flowers and had a lovely atmosphere.

It was very windy, and we were a bit worried about our voices and instruments, as we only had two microphones — but somehow we were heard loud and clear! Seekers were dancing on stage with us by the second bhajan.

The stage security guard, Adam — who was also our concert contact — had to stop seekers from coming on stage as he feared it might collapse! After the concert, Adam spoke to me, praising Music of Joy and saying we’d be welcome back anytime. Jai Shri Mataji!

Bowral was a great success. After the concert, a few yogis from the Highlands and Sydney joined us and had prepared lunch and refreshments for everyone.

That brought us to the end of our tour. We boarded the bus for the last time and headed back to Burwood.
